This production was done in collaboration with my brilliant creative partner, Sam Bydlon. Sam was our director on set and also handled all of the editing/post-production. I handled all of the pre-production, art direction, and styling.
Our client was Sttoke, a coffee mug company based out of Australia, who wanted a Christmas themed shoot for a gold embossed mug they were launching during the holiday season. They wanted to highlight the cups's leakproof/shatterproof features as well as it's intricate engraving. They asked for neutral tones in the wardrobe and set design to highlight the color of the mug, but gave us free reign otherwise.
We shot at Realm in Denver, Colorado and were able to capture the kid's authentic reactions of surprise when they turned the mug upside down (while it was full of liquid) and it didn't spill. They were such an easy family to work with, and made it easy to photograph the genuine affection they had for one another.
